Rate limits
Each API token can make 120 calls a minute unless PropFit has set it otherwise, counted across the REST API and the MCP server.
Headers
| Header | Meaning |
|---|---|
X-RateLimit-Limit | Calls allowed per minute for this token. |
X-RateLimit-Remaining | Calls left in the current minute. |
X-RateLimit-Reset | Unix time, in seconds, when the count resets (at the start of the next clock minute). |
The token’s limit is also in GET /me as token.rate_limit_per_minute.
When you hit it
The call answers 429 rate_limited with a Retry-After header in seconds. Wait that long, then retry.
HTTP/1.1 429 Too Many Requests
Retry-After: 12
{"error": {"code": "rate_limited", "message": "too many requests for this API token; slow down", "request_id": "…"}}- Spread a bulk import over time rather than sending it all at once.
- Use webhooks instead of polling for changes, and the
Idempotency-Keyheader so a retried write never runs twice.
